ALIEN CRATERS

This work continues the exploration of speculative planetary morphology, focusing on crater formations, erosion structures, and tectonic surfaces as metaphors for interior psychological and energetic states. Constructed in monochromatic tones, the painting emphasizes form, texture, and topographical rhythm over atmospheric color, allowing the geological structures themselves to become the central language of the composition.

The landscape is composed of overlapping crater-like depressions and stratified surfaces that resemble both extraterrestrial terrain and organic anatomical structures. These formations reference volcanic basins, impact craters, sedimentary folds, and planetary mapping imagery, while simultaneously evoking emotional cavities, memory imprints, and subconscious landscapes. The repetition of circular excavated forms creates a tension between destruction and genesis, absence and formation.

The distant celestial body and the minimal horizon detach the environment from a recognizable Earth geography, situating the work within an imagined cosmic space where geological processes become reflections of inner transformation. Morphology is treated here not only as physical structure but as a bridge between planetary matter and psychological depth.

Through the use of grayscale contrasts and flowing tectonic lines, the painting investigates how landscapes can function as visual manifestations of invisible internal states. The work proposes a continuity between geological erosion and emotional imprint, positioning terrain as an extension of consciousness rather than a passive external environment.
